A highly respected and recognized portfolio manager with 30 years of industry experience, Scott Colyer has been the CEO and CIO of AAM since 1998.

An accomplished fixed income strategist and investment counselor, Scott’s insight is frequently featured in leading financial media, including Barrons, The Bond Buyer, Business Week, CNBC, CNNMoney, Fortune magazine, Fox Business TV, InvestmentNews, MarketWatch, Pensions & Investments, TheStreet.com and The Wall Street Journal.

As SVP, Asset Management, Mike is currently involved with the security selection and supervision for a number of the firm’s UITs and serves as a portfolio manager for several separately managed accounts.

Mike received a MS degree in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School and a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Mike also served for more than 11 years as an aviator in the U.S. Navy and obtained the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

Jim is responsible for AAM’s Capital Markets Groups, including trading and money managers. Mr. Costas has over 30 years of trading experience, previously serving as Vice President, Trader for both EF Hutton and Prudential Securities. In addition, he served as a Director at SunTrust Bank before joining Advisors Asset Management in 2002.

Jim has a Bachelor of Science degree from Ithaca College and holds a Series 7, 24, 53, 63, and 66 professional designations.

John serves as EVP, Asset Management Distribution for AAM. He joined the firm in October of 2009, bringing with him his reputation for innovation, leadership and understanding of the wealth management business. Previously, John was responsible for fee-based business at UBS Wealth Management. He also led Lincoln Financial’s independent advisor channel and the reengineering of the firm’s investment platforms.

John spent the majority of his career at Merrill Lynch, where he was a driving force behind installing a fee-based culture while transforming the firm’s managed account program into a recognized industry leader. He ran the Merrill Lynch SMA programs, including Consults and SPA as well as their Mutual Fund Wrap and Financial Advisor as Portfolio Manage programs.

Rich is responsible for all aspects of the UIT business, including sales, trading and product development. Prior to joining AAM, Rich was the UIT Product Manager for UBS Financial Services, Inc., where he was responsible for over $4 billion in UIT assets. He also represented UBS as a member of the Investment Company Institute’s Unit Investment Trust Committee. Rich is a member of the CFA Institute and the New York Society of Security Analysts. He earned his BS and MBA from Fordham University.

Tim is an Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at AAM. He is responsible for AAM's Finance, Human Resources and Compliance functions, as well as the firm's corporate development initiatives.

Tim has over 25 years business experience in senior executive and financial roles at a variety of public and private companies, primarily in the financial services and telecommunications industry. Prior to joining AAM, Tim was CFO and Co-Founder of Clearbrook Financial, and prior to that was CFO of RCN Corporation.

Tim holds a BS in Engineering and an MBA from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
